6 Baby Products I Still Swear By After Two Kids
I don’t even know if I can describe how much I love this product. It’s my absolute #1 must-have. It was a literal lifesaver for my peace of mind.
After my first baby was born, I was SO stressed about whether or not she was breathing that I could hardly sleep. Once I got this, I finally had some peace. It’s a little device that clips onto your baby’s diaper and flashes a green light with every breath. If it doesn’t detect movement after a few seconds, it gently vibrates to rouse your baby. If there’s still no movement, it sounds an alarm.
If you sleep in the same room as your baby, this is a perfect and affordable option. It’s a fraction of the price of other baby breathing monitors and totally worth it. I’ll definitely use it again if we have another baby.
2. Papablic Baby Bottle Sterilizer & Dryer
My husband actually got me this for Mother’s Day after our first baby, and I’m still using it to this day.
It’s not a bottle washer, but it’s a sterilizer and dryer — which was a lifesaver for pump parts. As a full-time pumping mama, being able to quickly wash my parts, pop them in, and have them dry and ready for my next pump made life so much easier.
If I had to do it again, I’d probably get the larger model like this one from the same brand that holds more bottles at once.
3. Zomee Z2 Double Electric Breast Pump
It’s small, portable, and rechargeable (no need to plug it in while you pump). The parts are also easy to clean, which is a huge plus. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a reliable electric pump.
After my first baby, my milk came in fast and I was so engorged I didn’t even know what was happening. I was super underprepared.
During a trip to the ER for my baby, one of the nurses noticed and gave me this manual pump — and I’ve kept it ever since. It’s perfect for quick relief when you’re engorged, have a clogged duct, or just need something portable on the go. No power, no cords — just simple and effective.
This has been such a solid purchase — I’ve used it for both of my babies. The car seat is easy to install and switch between cars, and the stroller folds and unfolds with one hand.
Bonus: it handles dirt and gravel roads pretty well (which we definitely need out here). The tires don’t need to be aired up, so no worrying about popping them on stickers or sharp rocks. It’s not exactly smooth on gravel — but let’s be real, nothing is. π (Not pictured is the car seat. My husband took the pickup with the car seat in it π)
The video and audio quality are solid, and I love that I can talk to my kids through the monitor if I need to. One of my favorite features is that it doesn’t use Wi-Fi - so it’s more secure, and I don’t have to worry about internet outages. It also has great range - I can be outside doing things around the ranch and still keep an eye (and ear) on my sleeping babies. Total peace of mind.
These are just six of the things that truly made my life easier after having babies. Every mama and every baby is different, but I hope this list helps cut through the noise if you’re feeling overwhelmed. If you try any of these, I’d love to hear what you think!
